Job Title: Assistant Director -Software Engineer

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 1007(Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Plan, design, and utilize programming languages and related technologies to write new code or modify existing code for software enhancements and development of new products and features. Test, troubleshoot, and debug software programs during product development and post implementation. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance of software. Lead other engineers in the performance of technical tasks. Interact with internal users to define system requirements and necessary modifications. Work with other development team leads and software architects on technical and architectural direction of projects. Work with cross functional, globally dispersed development teams to support development efforts to meet business requirements. Design, develop, and maintain Angular UI Components for shared libraries and module specific usage. Design, develop, and maintain domain models and model behavior code using C# .NET. Design, develop, and maintain REST Services for integration with other Moody’s services. Debug existing application code using Visual Studio and database IDE’s for troubleshooting and resolving software defects and production raised incidents. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field plus five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: performing software development and designing technical solutions; providing technical support, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving defects in production, UAT, and stage environments; designing, building, and configuring applications; working with C# and Relational Databases, including MS SQL, Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL; working with Angular/Angular JS, using Typescript, JavaScript and HTML/CSS/XML; working with Source Control, including Team Foundation Server, Visual Source Safe, SVN, Git; applying and utilizing knowledge of Visual Studio and Web Services development. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $169,229 - $184,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
