Job Title: Associate Director, Senior Software Engineer

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 1007(Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Develop system or application software using Agile methodologies to ensure iterative and incremental development. Interpret business requirements for a Business Mission/Epic with assistance of Business Analysts. Design user-friendly interfaces, ensuring the software meets all requirements of usability and accessibility. Provide feedback on requirements from a technical perspective and provide estimates for user stories and tasks. Author technical design documents. Take ownership of stories. Implement and test features based on the requirements. Responsible for refactor design and implementation for stories owned, based on requirement changes. Define and maintain coding standards and guide team members to comply with these standards. Utilize GitHub Actions to automate the build and deployment process, ensuring consistent and reliable delivery of software. Utilize version control systems, such as Git or related tools, to manage code modifications, ensuring traceability and collaborative development. Refactor existing code based on code review feedback using SonarQube or related testing tools to maintain code quality. Implement software updates and patches and fix bugs as they are discovered. Collaborate with quality assurance engineers to fix defects. Collaborate with build and release engineers to prepare packages and solve environment issues. Investigate and find the root cause for software problems reported by clients. Maintain technical documents. Review code of less senior team members and provide guidance from technical perspective. Work with more senior team members to continuously improve our engineering practices. Mentor more junior engineers. Conduct training sessions and proactively share knowledge in or across teams. In executing duties, utilize the following application and operating systems tools: Core Java, J2ee, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JDBC, SQL/PLSQL, Unix, Shell, JavaScript, Html, CSS, Angular, Eclipse and related. Telecommuting permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field plus three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: providing technical support, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving defects in production, UAT, and stage environments; applying knowledge of multithreading concepts, good understanding of design patterns and principles, and software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, Core Java, J2ee, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JDBC, SQL/PLSQL, Unix, Shell, JavaScript, Html, CSS, Angular, Eclipse, and automated testing tools, including Junit and Jacoco; using build tools and version control systems, including Maven, GIT, and Subversion; utilizing knowledge of OOP/OOD and implementing standard frameworks; and building REST API’s and testing of REST API using Postman. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $142,563 - $221,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
