About Moody's Media Solutions:

Moody's Media Solutions is at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technology with
media analytics to provide actionable insights into news processing and media consumption
patterns. Our Enrichment Team is dedicated to enhancing data quality and streamlining
processes to support the delivery of superior media intelligence services.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Production Data Engineer with a keen interest in news processing, data
quality, and process improvement to join our dynamic Enrichment Team. The ideal
candidate will be a problem solver at heart, exhibiting a blend of technical skills and
creativity to enhance our production systems and pipelines.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and quality of our media data
processing and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize production pipelines for news processing and data
enrichment.
- Implement and refine automated QA processes to ensure the highest data quality
standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute process improvements.
- Contribute to the design and development of new features and tools to enhance
production efficiency and data quality.
- Ensure robust version control and collaborative development practices using GitHub.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain
system health.
- Participate in the creation and execution of testing protocols for system enhancements
and new releases.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a production engineering or similar
role.
- Strong programming skills in Python. Knowledge of C++/C is a plus.
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and
production pipeline architectures.

Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with news data or in a media-focused technology environment.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in improving production
processes and data quality

Working Conditions:
- This is fully working from home position, requiring the candidate to be available during the standard
Eastern Time business hours of 9 AM to 5 PM.
- The role may occasionally require flexibility to meet project deadlines or address system
issues outside of standard hours

- Solid understanding of testing protocols, including automated QA processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a natural curiosity about news processing and data
quality.
