Asst Dir-QA Engineer

Role/Responsibilities:

This is an opportunity to join our team of top-notch engineers, including software developers, data engineers, and quality assurance engineers.

We are looking for a Software QA Engineer who is smart, curious, self-driven, passionate, and efficient. A qualified candidate is experienced in applying quality assurance concepts and leading quality control efforts utilizing an automated testing-first approach on complex, data-driven, web-based software applications and websites. We seek highly motivated individuals who can work independently, mentor junior QA engineers, and drive the vision of our testing strategy's future.

What will your day be like?

• Focus on building Automated Testing and documenting test cases to ensure products are ready to ship.

• Employ automated QA testing strategies to ensure our products meet quality standards.

• Conduct end-to-end testing on web and mobile products across various disciplines, including UI testing, API testing, performance testing, and accessibility testing.

• Collaborate effectively with other passionate engineers, developers, and designers.

• Work closely with the team to improve practices and approaches to building applications.

Qualifications:

What are we looking for?

• At least 3 years of experience with one or more automated testing tools. We currently use Cypress, JMeter/Taurus, Jest and SuperTest but are open to evolving with new technologies.

• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: JavaScript/ TypeScript.

• Knowledge of Python is a plus.

• Functional experience with querying databases such as DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch. Expert-level knowledge is not required.

• Experience or willingness to learn about AWS (Amazon Web Services) and how infrastructure integrates with automated testing.

• A passion for QA and an interest in analyzing and solving problems beyond writing and executing tests.

• Experience in creating POCs to try out new tools and solve client-specific problems is a plus, but not required.

• Curiosity and a questioning mindset, knowing when to seek help.

• Solid understanding of the SDLC and a delivery-focused approach.

• A drive to ship products, gather user feedback, and iterate, breaking down obstacles and complex problems into manageable chunks.
