About the Role:

We are seeking a Director, Experience Designer to join our Central Product group’s Experience Design (XD) team. This role will contribute to the team's mission of facilitating infrastructure within the company that serves Product Designers from across various teams. The ideal candidate will provide best-in-class resources to collectively boost the overall design maturity of the company and make our product experiences more consistent, compelling, and intuitive.

About the team:
The Experience Design (XD) Team is a central design team within Moody’s Central Product Group. Typical functions of the team involve working with Moody’s Brand and Comms Team, Facilitating UX and Design across our innovation initiatives with Generative A.I., blockchain finance, quantum computing and more. Working with other design groups across the org championing best in class design all while having fun as a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a robust design infrastructure that supports Product Designers across the company.
  2. Develop and implement design strategies that enhance the consistency and intuitiveness of our product experiences.
  3. Utilize deep knowledge of Figma to create and refine Global Design resources and processes.
  4. Communicate and present design strategies and solutions effectively to various stakeholders across the company.
  5. Collaborate with other designers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  6. Maintain a keen eye for aesthetics and detail, ensuring high-quality design output.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as an Experience Designer or similar role.
  2. Deep knowledge of Figma and other design tools.
  3. Exceptional communication, articulation, and presentation skills.
  4. Strong design skills with an eye for aesthetics and detail.
  5. A best-in-class portfolio showcasing practical design abilities applied to real-life products.
  6. Ability to collaborate and contribute within a team of designers.
  7. Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $184,100.00 - $266,900.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a completion bonus. Moody’s also offers insurance and a discounted employee stock purchase plan for limited duration employees.
