Financial Analyst performs a range of financial data, analytical and research services that contribute to the overall credit analysis function performed by the Corporate Finance or Infrastructure rating groups. Prospective candidates will have a good understanding of fundamental finance and financial statements as well as a basic understanding of capital markets. The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong organizational skills, demonstrate attention to detail as well as their ability to work effectively individually and in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform analysis to support ratings, research, analytical outreach. Examples of work include:
* Work with Rating Associates and Analysts in supporting them on the initial credit analysis of the issuers
* Apply MIS' standards to existing data in order to produce valuable inputs into the rating and research process, including Moody's adjusted data, key indicators, ratios, charts and graphs in line with MIS’s methodologies
* Analyse financial reports, official statements and other documents related to issuers’ performance
* Work independently on straightforward business as usual (BAU) deliverables such as credit opinions or outreach presentations
* Work on data collection, analysis and visualization
* Take initiative to participate in projects or process improvements
* Provide guidance to resolve queries of more junior team members

Skills to be developed :


Credit:
* Macro understanding of methodologies
* Good understanding of all technical and operational aspects for assigned deliverables
* Initial credit analysis of various entities based on Moody’s methodologies
Stakeholder Management:
* Interact with Rating Associates and Analysts on various deliverables, manage the expectations, resolve or clarify straightforward issues
Project Management:
* Develop working knowledge of more than one project/deliverable with guidance

Qualifications:


* Bachelors/Masters in Finance, Economics, Business Management or Accounting
* Relevant experience of 1 year (including internships) in finance or accounting; experience in credit/financial data analysis and interpretation will be an added advantage
* Individual must be organized, dependable, and able to multi-task and manage priorities, display initiative, and have the ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment
* Knowledge analyzing financial statements
* Microsoft Office skills, in particular intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Fluency in English with good written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills

Annual base salary gross: 25,600.00 to 40,800.00. Applicable to Lithuania candidates: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moody’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. The salary is one component of Moody’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include the following: Medical, Personal Accident, Life Insurance and Time Off.
