Responsibilities:

We are seeking product manager to improve the customer experience by optimizing products and identifying areas for system and process improvements. Product Manager role will be directly involved in supporting the team in the standardization and implementation of operational controls of analytic products that meet the clients’ needs and the quality expected from Moody’s. The product manager will participate in strategic projects affecting the ratings data services. Also be a content specialist for the ratings feed, assisting with internal and external queries related to the ratings data feed.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with consumers of reference and real-time financial content and have experience with modern market data delivery capabilities, taxonomies, and market standards. We seek a candidate with a firm grasp on technology and a passion for understanding the next generation of solutions - this is not a technologist role however the right candidate will be comfortable articulating requirements to engineers.

Specific Activities include:

  • This is a HYBRID role.
  • Help identify product and process improvements to retain and grow customers.
  • Successful candidates will have a record of strong communication skills; in addition to preparing and delivering compelling presentations to management, the candidate may be expected to write detailed, clear business requirements, working with development and design teams to take concepts through execution while keeping cycle times under tight control.
  • Experience with news, research, and/or data products.
  • Experience with web and data feed technologies.
  • Intermediate skill level and experience in Access/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Experience with financial market data technologies especially Fixed Income or Derivative products.
  • Fundamental understanding of software development lifecycle.
  • Self-directed, adaptable, flexible.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including very good presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels, with both internal and external parties.
  • Individual must be highly organized, detail-oriented and be able to manage several projects at once.
  • Regularly interact with Sales, Customer Service and Product Operations to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Coordinate across other teams to ensure successful implementation and operational standards.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Library Sciences, Engineering, or any related technical field
  • One year of prior experience at a financial technology firm, financial institution or other data-intensive setting is a plus. (Will consider recent graduates).
  • Strong track-record demonstrating critical thinking, resourcefulness, and initiative.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and summarize findings to varied audiences.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning ability.
  • Experience with web analytics and Agile development processes.
  • Potential travel 0 to 5% - to clients in the U.S.
  • Position is based in New York and is hybrid (must be willing to go into the office minimum of two days per week or as business dictates).
  • Must be a U.S Citizen or current Green Card Holder.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $82,400 - $94,750, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
