The Role / Responsibilities:

The Senior Business Analyst within Regional Management, Asia Pacific will support the Vice President and other members of Moody’s Ratings’ Strategy and Business Management team, in the formulation of strategic initiatives, facilitating regional execution of global strategy in ASEAN and Asia Pacific and more generally, in managing relationships with Moody’s affiliates within the region. To this end, the role will:

  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of Moody’s Ratings’ APAC strategy
  • Support the evaluation of growth opportunities for Moody’s Ratings’ operations in APAC, including new markets and partners
  • Analyze internal and external market data to monitor regional markets on a timely basis and identify opportunities to improve market relevance/positioning
  • Provide support for updates and meetings with global and regional senior management, including the preparation of business strategy presentations, summaries and other materials
  • Assist in affiliate relationship management, including governance and oversight related matters and collaboration opportunities, and interactions between Moody’s group companies and affiliates
  • Work with internal stakeholders across lines of business and control functions to advance business initiatives and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Support other ad-hoc projects/requests related to regional and global initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a business analysis/ strategy role within a financial services, consulting institution or other research, data and analytics provider
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required, with a specialization in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics. Master’s degree would be a plus
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of global and regional capital/credit markets, strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically
  • Prior experience in project or business management, conducting in-depth market or industry research, analyzing business models, and performing financial modelling and valuation
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; other functional skills involving Bloomberg, data visualization would be a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including business writing
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness, creativity, strong attention to organization and detail, commitment to achieve positive business outcomes, ability to multi-task and work independently, a self-starter attitude and respect for co-workers
  • Fluency in English required. Other Asian languages an additional advantage
